4-Ingredient Asian Slaw

Asian slaw

Asian slaw is a savory substitute for salad, and it goes with just about everything. I serve it as a side with peanut butter chicken, fried rice, chicken bulgogi, and even soup.

Check out the simple four-ingredient recipe that you can whip up in just a few minutes.

Asian Slaw Recipe

To make this, you’ll start by gathering your ingredients.

One note: Multiple cabbage types (such as purple and green) make for a more attractive slaw, so sometimes I’ll mix up cabbages or buy a bagged, pre-shredded cabbage mix. If you buy the bagged coleslaw cabbage blend, it often comes with shredded carrots in it as well, and that works too.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • Red onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Asian sesame dressing (I use Newman’s own)

Instructions

Toss the ingredients together in a large salad bowl and serve in two smaller serving bowls.

Makes two servings.
